Typically, lube oil contains
- Base Oil: 90-97 % (Approx.)
- Additives: 3-10% (Approx.)
Lube oil is blended under atmospheric pressure and a temperature of approximately 60-70 degrees Celsius to improve the blending process. When necessary, heating is applied to increase the miscibility of the base and additive oils.

Pressure Kettle (Reactor)
Pressure kettles feature a robust design with a motion Counter-Rotating Agitator Stirrer. The drive assembly is integrated into the grease kettle body and allows the height to be adjusted manually.
Non-Pressure Kettle (Reactor)
The kettle consists of the bottom dish, shell and top lid. The bottom dish is fitted with a flush bottom discharge valve and one drain valve ball type for sample removal, testing and checking.
Bottom Conical Kettle (Reactor)
Grease can be manufactured in an autoclave-style grease kettle by saponifying, finishing and cooling the grease. However, the processing time is extended compared to saponification being performed in a Linus Projects Grease Base Reactor.
